This LG customer had two issues and one being the most important issue even though she called for the least important issue. The issue she requested service from Lumina Appliance Repair was the common not draining OE error code. So as per protocol we check her drain trap to make sure there are no items causing a no drain issue and there weren’t. We then check the status of the drain pump and can visibly see the damage on the impeller blade And in this case it had a slight bend as it turns which is a sign of a defective drain pump. We offer her the solution to fix that issue which is a drain pump replacement and we have that on hand but we inform her of the main issue which is way more expensive to repair and most companies won’t perform that level of repair which is a defective bearing and this was noticed while we checked the LG washing machine while on spin mode it made loud noises. The loud noise wasn’t so bad and the unit was still operable but we know from experience that eventually it’ll go bad and will need to be replaced. The customer understood the situation and still moved forward with changing her drain pump and appreciated the honesty plus knowing she can still use it for a while before the bearing goes bad fully.
